After many years of work in development and manufacturing of gas engines for CHP plants Dipl. Ing. Carsten Köllner chose to use the acquired competences in his own company. At that time the aim was to transfer the professionality that was common within the bigger engines to the small engine´s arera. A slim, powerful structure and flexible customer-specific solutions stay in the foreground.
In the last years IET Energy has developped into the market leader of Austria for gas-powered combined heat and power plants with an electrical power of 30 – 400kW. Due to continuous development especially in the periphery of the gas engines and in expanding the concept of a global CHP controller the company with its committed team has achieved an excellent name – also abroad. The company is interested in exchanging and transfering the product know-how that has been gained in the own market to the local partners abroad with their specific maintenance and market know-how.
A centrally placed planning and development with production and series approval at the same place guarantees a success in customer´s satisfaction in the domestic market and abroad. The partners with excellent market knowledge and a service structure with high area coverage allow the IET modules to produce the highest customer´s benefit.
The first IET biogas module was connected to the public grid in December 2003. More than 150 modules have been put into operation since. In 2006, IET decided to build CHP plants of a bigger size, which are preferrably manufactured as container modules. Today we manufacture container modules with up to 2,000kW of electrical power.
In the new production hall which has been completed in July 2009, container plants can be produced using different engine brands. In 2009, the first controller replacements and switchboards have been delivered with the new plant control in combination with the internal switchboard building facility.
